Ride into the Sunset - Love in Barcelona 1/5

During my trip to Barcelona, I was inspired to do a watercolor series of either people, architecture, or my own photographs.  This painting was inspired by the couple who was riding in the ferry ahead of me.  The sun was setting, the sky was painted in beautiful colors of magenta, violet, and blues, the air was crisp, and I watched the lady snuggle up close to her man and lay her head on his shoulder. I wanted to capture that moment of connectedness, of love.
